This is probably one of the nicest days San Francisco has ever seen this time of year. A warm sunny day in the middle of fall. Our intrepid adventurers enjoy the tourist sites. Gabe and I are busy with much more important things… getting his new bike.

The birthday fun continues for Monica, Charlotte, Valri, and Gordon up in San Francisco. Looks like Chinatown and the wharf area had some interesting things to offer. Meanwhile Nick, Gabe, and I enjoy some quality boy’s time.

Monica has a few days of celebrating lined up before her official birthday. Today her friends are over for shirt painting, movies, pizza, and cake.

We’re having the Peysers and Hoyems over for a BBQ today, now that Charlotte’s dad is in town. Time to get all up in everyone’s face with the camera. Gabe goes his very first performance outside of school. My little trumpet player is progressing nicely.

Valri’s new kittens are the talk of our house. They really are adorable, but I know it won’t be long before they’re cats.

The crew looks really psyched before the start. I have no idea how anyone gets up this early to go exercise. You know it’s early when the sun starts to rise in the middle of your run. A beautiful day greets our runners at the end of the run. Paula and her girls look like they had a really great time. And now for the always appreciated gift of Tiffany necklaces from tuxedo wearing fireman at the finish. ...

Charlotte is off to San Francisco to do her favorite running event of the year, the Nike Women’s Marathon. A bunch of her friends joined her this year. Including what looks like a very nice dinner (and dessert) before the big effort tomorrow morning. But first it’s time for a little shopping.

The sneaky couple went and got married while no one was looking. Congratulations little brother, and welcome to the family Shweta!

The big man of the house knocks off yet another birthday. Pumpkin pie is still his favorite. I suppose having your birthday in the month of October makes something like that inevitable. Grandma Phoebe is in town this week, making it a very special birthday. You can probably tell I’m working on capturing nice portraits of everyone. They were ready to kill me if I took anymore. ...
