Kid Leash

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Kid leashes drive me crazy. I don’t get it. Sure I understand that parents don’t want their kid to run away, but putting them on  leash? It just seems plain wrong. Maybe I am just weird but whenever I see someone with there kid on a leash I just stop to watch. I part of me is slightly horrified but the other part (the bigger part) is laughing.

One thing that just cracks me up about these leashes is that they are disguised as cute adorable little backpacks like this one. The kid sees a fuzzy little monkey when truthfully it is a direct tie to mommy. Even when the parents are yanking the kid around I really don’t think the kid gets why he is being held back. They just don’t connect the two things and go on with life believe their parents just got them a cute backpack, not a tether.

I saw this kid once with a leash on, they didn’t even disguise it though, it was a full on harness wrapped around this kid. He still didn’t get it that as soon as he ran three feet away, he would get tugged back. It was pretty funny to watch this kid get whiplash from a leash. I know it sounds horrible but the funny part wasn’t the kid getting tugged back but the parents response. They did nothing. They thought the leash was enough to keep their kid contained and didn’t even bother asking the kid to stay put. They just let him run and then fall down.

The whole business doesn’t really make sense to me to treat your kid like an untrained puppy. Oh well, more entertainment for me.

Creeper Photo: Somersaults

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

I was watching you at the beach doing somersaults. You seemed so serious about it though. It wasn’t a game I could tell. To most people a kid doing somersaults is a whimsical thing, but with you it was different. There was nothing really childish about it. I wonder why it seemed so serious a thing, maybe you aspire to be a professional gymnast one day. It made me a little sad to se you though. Have fun sometimes, it isn’t all serious business. You were at the beach, be a kid and have some fun playing in the sand. Good luck in the future and don’t forget the present on your way.

Creeper Photo: Dreadlocks

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

I saw you at a Flea Market or Farmers Market in Eugene, Oregon during a big rain storm. I loved your hair, the purple looked great. I wonder what you act like, you look eccentric but when I saw you I felt that you were very level-headed and quiet. Your image conflicted with your true self and I wonder if that is true or maybe just what I thought I saw.

I think you saw me taking the photo but you didn’t say anything, I almost wanted you to say something. You really intrigued me. You were different and made me wonder who you really were. Anyway, I loved your hair and your eyes, enjoy your coffee .

Creeper Photo: Unfair

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

At first I wasn’t sure what to think of you two because I didn’t understand your relationship but then it became clear to me that you were partners. You and your partner seemed so sad.I wonder what happened, you seemed to be comforting him as if something horrible had happened. I really wanted to ask what tragedy had befallen you and your partner but I refrained. I wonder what it would be like to be you. How hard it must be for you and your partner, I wanted to say I was sorry. I am sorry life never seems fair, I really wish it was. I really do. I wish you both well in the future, and a reminder that your sorrows may someday pass. Be strong and sooner or later the sun will rise.

Creeper Photo: Hula Hooper

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I saw you on the beach  dancing around with a hula hoop playing catch with your dog. You seemed so happy and care free, you didn’t care who saw you or what they thought. You were just there to have fun. I was a little worried you would steal my dog, you seemed to like her a lot and wanted to play with her. Sorry I couldn’t stick around keep up the good attitude. I hope to see you again some time hula hooping on the beach.

Let it all Hang Out

Monday, February 1st, 2010

I know Hawaii is a place of relaxation and time to let all your worries go, but somethings do need to be held onto. Your bathing suit top for starters and your decency. This really cracks me up because I don’t know what it is about vacations but for some reason the second people go on vacation there is a little switch in their heads that says

Hey I am on vacation all that normally applies no longer does as long as I am vacationing.

I am not saying I don’t do this because I definitely do, not to the extreme this woman took it to with her bikini top hanging as low as it can go, but I am much more lax about things I wouldn’t normally be. Letting it all hang out doesn’t even begin to cover this woman’s idea of vacationing I am sure.

Maybe it is because we feel we have no credibility due to the fact that we know we will never see these people again. Maybe it is just pent-up stress being expelled through this small form of rebellion, aka breaking from the norm of our daily schedules. Who knows, I just wonder what goes through people’s minds when they leave their hotel room looking like this woman. Seriously, the poor children of the beach and their virgin eyes. Well for me I had a good laugh but really? Have some decency or at least retain some common sense from normal life.

Creeper Photo: Storyteller

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

You were such a cute little girl. You seemed to be having so much fun with all of your friends playing on the beach. You were very expressive and seemed to have a story to tell.

You just brightened up my day with your exuberance. I wonder what story you were chronicling for your friend. It seemed interesting, tales told by children are always so much more amusing than tales told by adults. I wish I could have listened in, maybe one day I will know, for now it remains your secret.

Creeper Photo: Wave Watching Skater Boy

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

I saw you walking around in the crowd with your buddies and your skateboards. You joined the crowd to watch the waves crash on the rocks. The waves were huge the other day but you hopped over the railing anyway. You went out onto the edge even though it was dangerous. You just sat down on your skateboard and watched. You were interesting, why was it so important for you to be right out there next to the water when the waves were crashing so close. I bet you got water on you. I had to leave though so I never got to ask, maybe I will next time I see a skater-boy wave watching on a stormy day.

Creeper Photo: Stroller Mom

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

I saw you from the balcony at my hotel in Hawaii. I was actually quite concerned because I had been watching the empty stroller for a good ten minutes wondering where the baby was and why the stroller remained. I was glad to finally see you and your baby. I just have one question, why take the baby and leave the stroller outside? Why not take both?

Creeper Photo: Little Bee

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

You were so cute, I saw you on the beach playing with your dog. I wonder why you were wearing a bee suit. It doesn’t really matter though you looked amazingly cute in it. You are actually the main reason I came down to the beach. I saw you from up above and knew I had to see you up close. Thank you for being so cute, never loose it 😉
