I may be alone in this belief but I might as well put it out there, I believe that the flamingo is natures idiot. I have never encountered an animal that just instantly strikes me as stupid, except for this weird looking bird. It may be its color or even the way it is shaped but when I walk near one I swear I can feel my IQ dropping.

A Rose by any other Name
Monday, November 9th, 2009“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.”
Ah Shakespeare, here is a beautiful rose picture I took. I love the little rain drop in the middle of the flower… it adds a little something to the photo.
Red
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009Red is my favorite color in the world. It is so bold and in your face. When you see something red you look twice whether it is a trees fall leaves, a nice red car, a woman’s lipstick, or the bright red dress you have been wanting to buy. There always seems to be an unearthly power behind the color red, I love it, love it, to no end.
Sunflower Light
Monday, October 26th, 2009There is something magical about sunflowers. They just make you smile. So I say, put down your homework, get up off the couch, stop working, stop stressing, stop everything you are doing and take that extra look at the sunflower you didn’t notice today.
Bend down and put your eye level to the flower and notice all you would never have originally. This is what you are missing every day of your life while you slave away on menial tasks that will probably never better you as a person. This one moment. This one flower can do what none of the other things could.
So take the time. The things you normally walk by, stop and look, say hello, and move on but remember it. Because those little moments will never happen again and you will never have that chance. So stop and smell the flowers.
Beauty
Thursday, October 8th, 2009A blossom bloomed
Opening slowly
Shyly
Showing it’s new found beauty
Opening to the sun
Reaching up high
To the bright blue sky
Not knowing
That the sun
Doesn’t always shine
When the rain comes
The blossom wilts
Hiding its beautiful face
Turning from the pain
The heavy drops
Weigh it down
Pulling away
It’s beauty
Petal by petal
Until nothing is left
The blossom
Lays broken
Shredded on the ground
In its place
A bud pokes through
A new chance
A new face
A new beauty
As a blossom blooms
Nature usually isn’t my thing, but here’s one anyways because I can’t think of anything else…
Nature’s Beauty

Just some beautiful things in nature, a spider’s web at Pictured Rocks, and a nice sunset at Estes Park
