Winter in Bootjack
There’s no shortage of snow up in Bootjack in December. It looks so beautiful, but it is unbelievably cold.

Charlotte and I are over Ed’s place for dinner tonight.

The big Halloween party was at Charlotte’s place this year, and boy was it big. Charlotte and Lynn came as a pair of dice, I don’t know why. It appears that Ghostbusters was big this year, and I couldn’t resist. The aftermath of the party is best left to in-person descriptions.

Charlotte is off backpacking in the Indian Peaks Wilderness again. This time she’s on the Pawnee Pass trail and the top of the Continental Divide. Sure looks windy at the top.

The interpid duo are off for another hike in the mountains near Boulder. This hike is to the top of the Twin Sisters near Estes Park. Looks like a great view.

Charlotte made quite a few awesome backpacking and road trips while she lived in Colorado. Here she’s heading off to the Grand Canyon. Sounds like it was an amazing trip, though hiking there in the middle of summer may not have been the best idea. Charlotte enjoyed this great view of Monument Valley. She also made a stop in Mesa Verde.

While staying in England, I decided to pack my bags and head across the channel and visit Paris for a week. I took the hovercraft and then a train to the city. After settling in at a small hotel, I ventured out every day to explore the city. I really enjoyed Notre Dame and the area around there. I made this trip many times while I was in Paris. ...

Once I graduated from RPI, I flew out to Europe for a nice long trip. I packed one bag and hung out mostly in England for about a month. I stayed at a few different small hotels around the city. I also stayed with my cousin Emily for a while as well. I loved wondering around the city and really got to know my way around the Tube very well. Plenty of great sites to take in on my first ever trip abroad. ...

Charlotte and Lynn are off to do some climbing and camping at St. Mary’s glacier. It’s really not much of a glacier, but it sure is damn cold. Charlotte tells me it was pretty miserable out on the ice. Look out, number 5 pick axe!

Charlotte really got into rock climbing while she was in Boulder. She proudly displays her climbing gear back at the apartment. Time to head off for some climbing on a great day. Charlotte’s working on her technique with a local rock climbing class.
