Time for another gigantic day in our nation’s capitol. A view from the hotel, then it’s off to our first stop Arlington Cemetery. The shuttle takes us first to visit with Robert and John Kennedy.

To avoid the pounding our feet took yesterday, we’ve arranged quite a treat for the rest of the day. A limo gives us the grand tour around the more difficult to reach parts of the city. First we head up the hills of Georgetown.

The National Cathedral is an amazing place. Felt like a modern version of Notre Dame. Hey, there’s our limo down there!

Back through the hills heading downtown, we drive by no shortage of embassies and other impressive buildings.

Then it’s over to the Jefferson Memorial.

Back over to Arlington via the George Washington Memorial Parkway to catch the Iwo Jima Memorial that we missed the other day.

The walk over to Georgetown from the hotel is always fun, and the area is great for shopping, eating, and sightseeing. I really liked walking along the C&O Canal.
