Recycle

You know you are in Seattle when one room in a building has four different cans for recycling. I mean seriously, that is a little absurd. I am all for recycling but four? Really, four? This is in University of Washington for those wondering where this phenomena occurred. I guess this post is for my dad, the recycling man of our house. I guess we don’t have it so bad, because he could have four different cans for us to recycle with. Don’t get any ideas.

Balto

What is that in the distance? Could it really be? Yep it is: BALTO!!! This is mainly for the benefit of my Disney loving friends. I love Balto too. I remember seeing him when I was little in New York. My mom got this photo the other day, but I need to get back to New York personally. This will have to do for now.

Creeper Photo: A Skeleton’s Death Wish

This was in Pikes Place Market in Seattle during Halloween. Surprisingly the costumes where not as outrageous as I thought they would be. I was prepared to see some crazy things but it wasn’t absurd. Actually it was pretty normal. Well this guy just cracked me up. Standing on a corner smoking in a skeleton outfit. There is just something funny about that.

Creeper Photo of the Day: Belong

This woman at University of Washington caught my eye mainly because of her face, hair and glasses. I really like her attire as well. It just felt like she belonged there and she knew it. She seemed to fit in right where she belonged.

More New York City with Charlotte

I’m with Matt again for another day at the conference. Meanwhile Charlotte enjoys more travels around the city. This time she’s headed uptown, with a visit to the Empire State building and some big city panoramas. Then some pretty sites in Central Park. A few more great midtown sites, then it’s time to head back to the hotel before indulging in a ridiculous steak at the Primehouse with friends. ...

Mosquito Hunter

I have been telling my friends all day so now I am going to tell you: I hate mosquitoes with a fiery passion that is unparalleled. I have a little creek in my backyard so lucky me, every time it rains my family gets a wonderous gift of a thousand biting monsters in our home which used to be so safe and secure. It is like a battlefield in my house. Whenever mosquitoes are spotted, the war is on, no holding back now. There are rolled magazines and books handy for quick squashing access because we don’t tolerate these nasty buggers. Seriously I always find them in the bathroom and I spot it and suddenly the house is alive, ...

Truck Bed

This photo I took in Salt Lake City is basically famous in my family. Well at least to my mom and me. I don’t really know why, but it is basically the photo that represents our road trips. We love it, so here it is.

Creeper Photo of the Day: Love is Blind

Love truly is blind, this woman in Pikes Place Market was singing on a corner and was truly blind. There was something really sad about this, yet she seemed so happy. Maybe she just loved blindly enough that she didn’t need to see, she could just believe. Some times it is better to live that way. It is easier to believe blindly than have to stare the truth in the face everyday. I wonder which kind of person she is, a believer or a seeker. ...

Enjoying New York City with Charlotte

While Matt and I enjoy attending the Global Sourcing Forum in NYC, Charlotte enjoys herself walking the city. It’s a lucky treat that the Veteran’s Day Parade is going on, so there are plenty of fun sights and people to take in. Charlotte really loves shopping in the Lower East Side. That girl of mine loves getting a good deal. Matt and I head downtown to meet up at Katz’s Deli. I’ve had a wicked hankering for pastrami on rye, a potato knish, and some cream soda. I realized after I ordered that I should have gotten an egg cream. Guess I’ll have to come back again soon. ...
