There is no way to quickly capture the life of my son Nick. This site is full of memories of Nick, so I’ll only share a few of those that captured a small amount of his special spirit we will all miss so terribly.

And the man he grew to be.

And the special bond he always had with his great friends, especially his “brother” Cameron and Addy.

His service was so very special. Thank you to so many family and friends. Everyone’s words meant so much to us. They really gave testimony to the incredible bonds Nick built with those he loved.
Farewell Nick.

I’ll leave you with Monica’s words.
Wings of Infinity
by Monica Multer
I carry your name
on the wings of a hummingbird,
each a revolving infinity,
bringing you back to me.
You’re our crackling bonfire,
full of sparks and embers,
swirling up into the warmth of night,
dissipating amongst the stars.
The rough wood of a redwood stick,
held between a child’s fingers,
wielded with the joy of a mischievous boy,
fighting for a life smooth as a skipping stone.
You’re the midnight waters of the lake,
rippled with bobbing flashlights and fistfuls of sand
on a childhood toad hunt, like ghosts on the shores,
carrying our treasures home.
The ingrained laughter echoing
off the barren walls of our childhood home,
knowing the bones of that building
hold our stories etched in their stone.
I will search for you under river stones,
along the contour lines of agates,
in the cry of a crow perched outside my window,
and in the fibers of the carpet where we used to invent worlds.
You are more than you will ever know,
more than we ever had time to tell you.
To the ones you leave behind,
you are a son, a sibling, a best friend,
and my brother—forever.
Hold a space for me in the revolving infinity.
You are more than a memory to me.
