Pasta dinner at Rose's and a monster pike for Gabe
July 2, 2003
It's pasta night at our cabin. We still call it Rose's and I suspect we always will. There are a lot of hungry kids lined up out on the porch.
Gabe really went and did it this time. Everyone heads out to Jacobsville for some fun out by the lighthouse. Gabe of course has to squeeze in some fishing at the opening of the channel into Lake Superior. After about 4 casts with a big lure, he announces he's got a fish. A little while later, with help from Uncle George, they haul in a 42.5 inch, 17 pound northern pike. It's the biggest pike anyone has ever seen up here. It's no fish story, and we've got the pictures to prove it!
