North Country 100 century ride in Wakefield

I brought my Serotta up north this summer so I could
really pound back the miles. I didn't trust the airlines with my Trek, but
the steel frame made it no problem. Turns out there's a century ride in
Wakefield called the North
Country 100. The Serotta is way too uncomfortable for 100 miles, but
100 kilometers is perfect. Quite a few less mountains then I'm used to,
but it was a beautiful ride around Lake
Gogebic.
The rest of the family enjoyed touring the area while
I was gone.
The chair lift at Mont Ripley looks like a blast, and
the ski jump at Copper Peak looks really scary.
Time to head back to Wakefield now that the ride is
over so we can head back home.
