Bootjack always means plenty of road trips since there's so much to see right in the area. Looks like everyone is enjoying the drive out to Freda. No need to worry about traffic way out here.

The old mining town of Freda is always a blast for the kids. Plenty of crumbling dangerous stuff to climb o, and tons of rock picking.

Our next stop is the Redridge steel dam across the road. Gabe tries his hand at a little fishing while Charlotte captures a few of the local flowers.

Time to get the campfire going, and it wouldn't be complete without the charred potatoes and smores.

Gordon and Doug shoot the flumes and convince Annie to give it a try. Brave girl.
