Gabe's previous track meets were practice for the real thing today. He's had plenty of opportunity to get used to throwing the 1.6kg discus, though he really was looking forward to breaking the area record for the 1kg discus. Now he's got a new goal to keep him motivated. Today he got first with 67 feet and is aiming for the record next year.

His cousin and constant companion Doug is looking good out there too.

Everyone at the track meet was treated to high schoolers, and I think their coach, while they practiced pole vaulting. Very cool.

Gabe's 400m relay team didn't quite cut the mustard, but it looked like fun.

Gabe's shot put skills are a bit lacking, but I love the faces.
