Spring road trip - Lake Havasu

Our road trip continues as we head out of California through
Lake Havasu as our first hotel stay last night. It's quite a busy little spot with the
lake, parks, sunshine, and of course the London Bridge.
We head back west a little bit to the town of Topock as our
starting point for today's ride up through Oatman and on to Kingman. It's another
hot day in the desert, and there's plenty of good climbing ahead.
The town of Oatman was just before it really started to climb,
and it sure was a cute little western town. The tourists, cars, and burros pretty much
choked off the road. Time to load up on more water.
After a great decent, we decided to cut the route short as it was
just flat and bumpy for miles. This old rest stop in Cool Springs
was the perfect place to wait for Charlotte and Monica to catch up.
We lucked out finding Mr. D'z Diner
on Route 66 in Kingman. The food was awesome and Gabe really loved their homemade root beer.
