The Henleyville road race was quite the drive, but well worth it as it was Gabe's last race of the season. As he rolled out for the start, I couldn't resist hopping on after they went by. I joined them for 2 of the 3 laps, then dropped off to avoid interfering with the race. I did roll forward from the back just to chat with Gabe for a few minutes right at the end. Unfortunately Gabe was feeling strong and joined the early break, but decided to fall back thinking they wouldn't make it. Turns out the two other Cat 4s were in the break and finished first and second place. Third place was worth five bucks and a t-shirt though!
