Information about Joseph Davidovich Berdichevsky presented in here is based on a letter received in December 2002 from Olya Degtyar, a granddaugther of Joseph. Olya is currently living in Germany and she wrote this letter to Solomon Braude and I obtained the original letter from Solomon when I visited him In Brighton Beach, NY in june 2003. Some of the information from Olya does not agree with information I received from Faina Zindels. However, since the information about Joseph and his decendants is from someone directly related to Joseph, I am assuming that it is the "most correct" version.
