  According to a descendant, Grace Valentine, Josephine Feris's father owned several lumber schooners and lived on an estate on the Five Mile River in Rowayton, CT. Ebenezer was a ship's captain for Ferris. Apparently all was lost in the 1880's lumber panic. Received from Norman Valentine.
