"James Mourison, of the Township of Franklin" Bergen County, New Jersey, left a will dated Feburay 19 1825. He devised 20 acres of land to his son Peter Mourison with the stupulation that Peter pay his sister Caterine $25.00 when she needs it. The farm and remainder of his real estate and personal property was devised to his grandson, James P. Mowerson, and he was to provide a good and comfortable maintenance and livlihood along with 25.00 in cash for his mother. (Lena) A codicil was attached in which he stated that his wife should have the room at the east end of his house and the bedroom at the end of the hall during her life, along with the use of the cellar and chamber.
