- Jan De Lameter left a will dated October 25, 1702, proved before Lord Cornbury September 9, 1703. "In the name of God, Amen. Upon the day and year underwritten appeared before me, Adrian Vermeuile, Clerk of the Town of New Harlem, admitted by he Honourable the Mayors Court of New York, and in the presence of the underwritten witnesses. John De Lameter, being sick in bed." He appointed his wife Ruth Waldron, "master and ruler" of all his goods during her life, but she shall not mortgage or bring any encumbrance upon it. The eldest son is to have one cow, one horse and 5 pounds, and then to have his share equally with the other children. Not named. Witnesses, Isaac De Lameter, Johanes Waldron, Peter Oblinus.
